I have been asked to source a printer/prit supplier that does branded Stickers for envelopes.
My printer said they would just buy some Avery stickers and ut them through the press.
Is this how printers normally do them? Or are there specialist Sticker Supliers that provide a service like this? Any help would be great

Without knowing exactly what your after, its hard to comment. Most commercial printers would be limited for sticker production (offset, digital, etc...) I'd suggest talking to a shop that specializes in screen printing. Alternatively if the run is low you could source a sign shop that runs a Gerber Edge (thermal resin printer) which allows for printing of all types of colors, including metalics on many different types of adhesive materials which can then be cut to any shape you desire.

I guess it depends how your client wants them supplying.
Printed on sheets of Avery is pretty normal for cheap paper stickers. But, you can have stickers printed on rolls and all sorts of crazy shit!
Or if you go down the vinyl route, these can be full colour printed and kiss-cut to any vector path you like.

I am after some address stickers, to go on parcels and such.
Probably around 120mm x 100mm ishRolls is a possibility for sure

find someone who does roll stickers. lookup labels in local yellow pages. pretty common for this kinda stuff. looks great and cheap in bulk quantities.
if your printer is just suggesting avery its probably just digital print and obviously not their specialty.

Recently I had to get some done quickly and used Alphagraphics, an idea I wasn't happy with initially.
500 CMYK 70mm ø stickers for £150 in 2 days. And the result was good...
