We tried doing the whole playing classical music thing and reading to the bump and then we kind of dropped off doing it. I think it's also good to try talking to the bump if you don't find it too difficult.

Medeski Martin & Wood "Let's Go Everywhere" is a pretty sweet album, especially for post-toddlers, I'd think. Still, those zany grooves probably sound even deeper from from inside the womb. A bit like sonic Dr. Suess in it's playful exuberance.

Cinematic Orchestra is dope and really helps the kid unwind. He's also fallen asleep to the sound of me beatboxing. He is starting to try and imitate the sounds with his mouth now, so that doesn't work for sleeping anymore. Check out some Maurizio or Gas for that ambient sound; but infused with beats for subconscious rhythm development.
