Does anyone know a trick to convert a Pantone Solid Coated color to a Pantone TPX? Thanks!

Hold the two books up next to each other and find the colors that best match.

there's a new feature on pantone.com if you signup for the free mypantone account.

PANTONE® x-ref utility:
http://www.pantone.com/pages/MYP…but really, TPX are fashion trend colors and quite often there are no suitable matches in the standard PMS books.
obviously your best bet is a TPX book or better the cotton chips.
there are AI swatches too.

my GF is a fashion designer and her company used to do all their colour in RGB....!!! I went in to do some freelance and tried to explain that RGB was an impossibility with fabric... I was going blue in the face. Finally managed to convince them to get the TPX plug in for Illy. They were amazed when the samples came back the right colour.
Althought the gamut was not relaistic at least the suppliers and designers were now talking the same langauge.

what happened to using your eyes?
^ yeah that's weird, we always use the swatch standard call names when referencing colors/materials.
- have you checked the pricetag on a complete set of TPX swatches... ? http://www.pantone.c…inkpink
