Does anybody know if rhino can be installed more than once with same serial number? (legally)

And if so can you uninstall it if it is needed for another computer?

I'd suggest you take it up with them.

Personally, I'd just do it and worry about things later.

It's my understanding that, technically at least, most User Agreements state that each serial can only be USED once - meaning that you could install it on more than one machine - just as long as they never both run the software at the same time.

I might well be completely wrong in this. Personally though, I think the behaviour's fair enough - I'm a one man band, with multiple machines - sometimes I need to use one over the other, but it's only ever me that uses them. I can barely afford single licenses for some software...

well here is the situation, i am the only one at work who has rhino i NEED to do some work this weekend and i would love to not come here to do it, so can i install it at home?

they would never run at the same time, is that the only way companies can get caught for this type of thing?

    • Why not torrent around for a rhino install, *only download the crack* from it, then install from your office DVD?detritus
    • Again, I'd just do it. Might be worth digging through the EULA, just in case.detritus
    • yea i was thinking that but most of the time it will be missing something weird i have done before and it screwed menicole_marie
    • Which is why you should install from the official DVD thing :)detritus
    • You only need the Crack/KeyGen component of the Torrent package - not the install files.detritus

I don't *think* rhino calls home - it does have an updater, but you can turn that off anyway, and I don't think it verifies, tbh.

They're quite a small, open company from what I understand - they won't admit it, but they have a lot to benefit from peripheral piracy - how else can compliated software gain mass acceptance? Bedroom coders and keen teenagers can't fork out for every bit of software that catches their eye.

Also - if all else fails - look into a Demo download - if I recall correctly, it's fully functioning for x days, with no save restrictions, etc.
