What's better? Do you build in the regular Flash environment? Or do you use Flex Builder?

For a more code-based approach FlashDevelop is pretty cool.

But are any of you pros at Flex?

you can build complex programs using the normal flash IDE (be sure to get the latest patch if you running CS4).
I build a fully OO application with > 14000 lines of code this way, but it isnt ideal.
Use the flash IDE for designer/lightweight programs, and flex for hardcore programming.
An analogy could be you have two building companys building a house. One has a few manual tools for his workers (flash ide) and one has all the latest mechanical diggers, drills and saws (flex).

......and then you have graham414 coding shit in notepad - which is like a wasp chewing old newspapers into pulp to build a wee little nest in the roof of the house.

Flex Builder. All Day.
I only use Flash to create graphic assets.
I export all related assets with Class names as .swc
