Trying to figure out the appropriate way to type this and having trouble with the right dash, space/no space, etc...
"...an upscale lounge that targets the well-to-do
businessman that works the 9–5.""...an upscale lounge that targets the well-to-do
businessman that works the 9 – 5.""...an upscale lounge that targets the well-to-do
businessman that works the 9-to-5."

i believe all are technically correct (i don't have the elements for reference either). stylistically you may choose to employ a space before and after the n-dash, i don't think there's a hard or fast rule for that. maybe compromise and use a thin space? might also depend on the spacing of the font you are using as well. my vote would be 9-to-5.

Not an English native, but doesn't "...that targets the well-to-do businessman working 9 to 5" looks better to you?

indeed it does... trying to write a rationale on little sleep - Im probably over-stating more than just that. Thanks!
