  hey cats, don't listen to these people who need to decorate themselves to make themselves seem more interesting ot other people or who just get tattoos cos their friends or favourite pop stars have them and they think its the cool thing to do.

  I know you are going to come back with "hmph! that's not why I get tattoos!".

  SO my reply is "thats not why i don't have tattoos" (re: your "ignore these cats...".

  Dont get me wrong I do appreciate god tattoo art.
  At the same time though I do know a fair few folk who have obv just got them cos it's the cool thing to do and they think thatit makes them even more "AMAZING!" or "awesome!" to their circle of friends.

  I only have 1 tattoo; it is a full back piece that no one ever sees... I got it because after I had brain surgery for a second time a friend took over my job for me while I had a nervous breakdown and was unable to focus on my work... I have it on my back because if I focus on the way my life was before I had these epilepsy-curing surgeries it will limit my potential in the future... My back is covered... If you have superficial friends/colleagues please find some new ones who feel they have a higher purpose in life then to cut up others, be selfish and never truly live their lives without the fear that they will not belong...

  So you didnt just get a tattoo done because you like needles under your skin then?

  Your tatt has good meaning to you and helps you look forward and focus :)

  A lot of people though do get them for no apparent reason and if you were to ask them what it was all about the answer would prob be "i dunno ... its just a skeleton giving the finger" or "I'm an aspiring paris hilton slut and got that floral swoosh at the base of my back to be like her"
