I'm looking to pick up some Flash skills and I need a good tutorial book. I haven't used Flash for about 6 years or so, and I was never an advanced user, but I have some programming experience and I'm pretty good at picking up software.
Any quality recommendations would be great.
Thanks in advance.

So when you say CS4, I take it you mean AS3?
Take a look at some of these Friends of ED books, they are comprehensive and well written but not too daunting for non-programmers.

Thanks everyone for the response.
Do you think it is worth also getting a book on just the software first, to familiarize myself again with the program. I have to admit I feel really out of element with web and interactive. I just thought in these times it might not be a good idea to bad my resume a bit.
I apparently have some more research to do. I didn't think I would have to dive into the nuts and bolts of AS3 just yet,

you can get a 30 day free fully functioning trial of Adobe products, get that and try somewhere like www.gotoandlearn.com (free online tutes/vids) then you've got a month to see how it goes before spending your money. Just start with simple practical tutes and you'll be okay.

Yea I would only recommend a book for a complex subject like learning a programming lang and even then...you can find it all online anyway for free. C'mon man...book...thats 20th century talk/

I am currently a print designer, so when I bought cs4, I spent the extra money and got the Design Premium package. So software I have. I just figured it was about time that I sat down and finally got some flash experience and perhaps my money's worth from Adobe.
I've always been a pretty big fan of book learning, and having an extensive library. There is something nice about having book at your fingertips. Perhaps that is why I currently ply my trade as a print designer.
But you are right. The future demands web content. and I am sick of designing pdf's because nobody wants to pay for print.
I went to my local Chapters and bought Foundation Flash CS4 for designers from Friend of Ed. It look to be good starting point and 40 dollars was not too bad of an investment.
