It takes me about 4 lines of css to cater for IE6 in a standard site.
I honestly don't know what the big fuss is about, other than a load of developers doing what developers are good at and throwing their toys out of their prams.

Personally, I think reflects poorly on the developer to support this IE6 campaign.
I wouldn't hire them. People signed up to this campaign are obviously prima donnas and lazy and no one wants to work with that.
