Hey y'all, so I'm photographing this thing for a client that's being lit by, yes, blacklights. As reprehensible as this might sound, I have another problem... when I covert it to CMYK all the colors go compleatly to hell. The greens go super flat and ugly, the blues go to a dark purple and the shadow detail gets washed out.
Anyone have any suggestions?

i've heard of people converting from RGB to LAB then to CMYK. play around with that?

also, try some of the links below. basically you need to go through a process to convert rather than simply 'convert to cmyk'.

Process the raw files (if you have em) in colormatch RGB. That should help a little bit.
if you are working with intense colors, it might be a good idea to do all color work in cmyk so you are not let down when you seperate out the files.

Can you send me the files?

Wow, thanks for all the tips! Yes, I'm starting with RAW, but there's a lot of post/comping to do, so I was exporting as RGB tiffs. And yes, the colors are nuts. I'll mess with the suggestions, and any more would be very much appreciated. Thanks agin.
