so...almost out of here.
Any recommendations for a nice little designy hotel in Paris?
Hotel Costes is a little too pricey at 450 euro/night....but I looked at Le A, L'hotel Amour and Kube Hotel...
Any suggestions?

Might be more expensive than Mama Shelter, but this is nice if you can find a good rate... stayed there recently:
http://www.ares-paris-hotel.com- I love this hotel. The staff are great, especially the front-of-house. The decor and fixtures are gorgeous, contemporary and well maintained. It is a fantastic location within minutes walk of the Eiffel Tower and very close to a metro station.geminilion

Prima Lepic in Montmartre.
http://www.hotel-prima-lepic.com…We stayed there in 2003 for about 6 days. Small place, but really great to be in Montmartre. Very cool part of the city - the hotel is on the same street as the cafe in Amilie.

I stayed at Mama Shelter earlier this year. All I can say is: go there.
We had a fantastic stay, I'm sure not to be looking for anything else the next time I'm in Paris. It is located just by Père Lachaise cemetery. A nice quiet surrounding close to the centre, with a few worthy bars of which I can surely recommend Le Piston Pélican (Rue de Bagnolet).
Much nicer and seemingly safer area than what some hotels in the centre can offer.

Back from Europe with a stop in Paris.
Mama Shelter was a great recommendation, thanks!
Great room--with Champagne and a disposable camera....
Super nice staff.
Nice little neighborhood with boutiques and small restaurants...if you already know the centre, it's a nice way to explore Paris different "arrondissements"!
And if you dont feel like leaving the hotel one night I definitely recommend trying their bar/restaurant.Good food and a lot of fun!

How many nights, pepite? If it's for more than a few, this is where we stay: http://ternes.rentals.free.fr/pa…
Not sure if he rents it out for less than a week, though.
