display on my macbook pro crapped out on me the other morning...sounds like burn-in issues, though.

run one of the image screensaver like patterns or nature. Leave it alone for a couple of hours andit will erase the burn-ins.

you'll also need to go to energy settings at system preferences and tell the display to never sleep (while you leave this screensaver running overnight), remember to put that setting back after trying this

hahahaha. this is funny. we wouldnt be able to see it, no matter how bad it was. its not the jpg file that would show it. your screen is messed up. mine does that too. i have a permanent screen burn of YouPorn on mine. really embarrassing when people come over.

take a cloth, clean you imac screen. you're suffering from greasy marks on the monitor.
