tbh, the only truly memorable one was, of course, Monkey Island.
I wish I could go back in time and permanently enter the 16bit 17th century Caribbean. What japes I'd have!

There's also Zork, Space/King's Quest, Maniac Mansion and Loom, of course - but I never played any of them. Supposedly greats, all though.

The Martian Memorandum is often overlooked, the last of the Tex Murphy games. Probably the first point and click with real voice output, the graphics were also groundbreaking, flunked commercially though. I think it´s available as abandonware.
