    going mental....

i have a beautiful animation created in AE and no need to make it into a dvd. I have used both toast and encore in the past, but are there better options?

the quality in encore is a little crappy looking and really needs to be sharper...

any thoughts, i'm about to chuck it out the window.

I don't work with video often -> but if I needed to do the same, I'd encode my files using ffmpeg (which is command line).

If you use a mac .. you can use this GUI frontend -> http://www.ffmpegx.com/

encore is making the text look jagged and yet on the .mov it looks crisp

Check ur aspect ratio and what it's turning into. You proally exported outta ae with one and encore is changing it on you, whether it's 4x3 or 16x9
