Live and work there, it's pissing down with rain right now (summer?)
Not sure about jobs, you can't have mine ok. Cost of living isn't too bad, £3.50 for a panini, packet of crisps and mars bar.
- it's a cool city though! Check out http://www.s1jobs.co… or http://www.thedrum.c… for jobsseeessess

The drum site and s1 jobs is best bets for industry jobs.
Probably more chance of jobs in new media than in print at the moment and your work will prob have to stand head and shoulders above the rest.
Great city to live in though - been here about 8 years - stayed in Glasgow for a few years before that. Definitely prefer Edinburgh.
A lot less chavs cutting about the centre.
Tourists around all year round, great bars n restaurants. The only thing glasgow has over edinburgh is some better shops, and better clubs n gig venues.
It's only 45 mins away on the train though.Glasgow is also chock-full of orange women. "Glasgow Tan"

I'd say the design scene is a bit better in Glasgow (maybe not for jobs, but for work) — seems to be a lot more variety in the stuff being produced by agencies.
Edinburgh is nice and all for living but there seems to be a bit of rut in the type of work out there at the moment.

I would avoid Scotland in general, there is very few jobs in design due to the country being so small.
Move to England, the work is far superior to that in Scotland, plus there is far more jobs down there.
Although, Scotland is the far superior country for living in, but not for design jobs.
