Seriously -- lemme get this straight. You went through all of that terrible shit and you still - not counting any cash you've made since you "started with $100,000 in January" - have more than my take-home pay for the whole fucking year... Where's the problem? Seriously - where is the problem?
    $100,000
    - 30,000 taxes
    - 23,000 meds
    - 14,000 rent (cuz we're only partway thru the year)
    ____________
$33,000 free and clear. Where did it go?

How in the fuck are people lining up to give you money?

You're down to a grand in the bank? Guess what - I don't even have that much in the bank. I've got a $1500 a month mortgage, two kids to feed, and two car payments. Who wants to dump some free cash into my paypal account? I'll set up a link right now.

    • omg... i am not asking for handouts or any paypal accounts or cash!!!e-pill
    • maybe it went towards food, and living life or trying to... hmm maybe even pain killers..e-pill
    • your bills arent near mine it seems yet your lifestyle you seem to struggle with...e-pill
    • perhaps you need the paypal account... life is tough now and i know it!!! do you??e-pill

    • omg i fergot to ask in all of this but foldgers... do you have an income?? beacuse i dont.e-pill
    • also in the last 5 months while i was unable to work i was spending and spending...e-pill
    • during which time i had no income coming in with bills at $3K+ per month ...e-pill
    • lucky you have kids to claim and a wife to help you out... you seem luckier also healthy.e-pill
    • i know where you are coming from but you arent looking at it from my end so...e-pill
    • ...so why dont you open that paypal account for your kids and 2 car payments!!!e-pill
    • ...ill even try to send you money if it helps!!! how about that!!!! ????e-pill

just be glad you have family close to rely on and that will take you in.
My parents live thousands of miles away so if this happened to me I'd be on the streets.
    Good Luck
    P.S.
Throw a DJ party at your place and charge 20 bucks at the door.

E, I gotta give it up to you man... your composure for the year so far has been pretty solid; it sucks to see you in such a situation. Hell, I for one, can't afford to shell out more than $1k at a time for emergency expenses or payments, so I guess you can be kind of grateful you even had that scratch to take care of yourself and your predicaments. I'm sorry to hear that all of this shit has happened to you, but you seem like a hard worker and all-around good dude. I think everything will come back to you. If I can do anything for you (which I'm not sure exactly what since I live way out here in the desert) let me know. Sending good luck and karma your way!

    • i like the good vibes from you!!
      thanks!!

Wait wait! I want to figure this out, purely for entertainment purposes.

I’m gonna figure this in £ value. $33k is about £20k.

My grocery bill ranges from £40-50 a week, and I’m a trained athlete, so your basics are prolly a bit less. But we go with my amount. £50 over 50 weeks = £1200.

Plus sundry food expenses, you know the adhoc restaurant stuff, which itself can average out at say £50 a week over your 24week period of crisis. So lets double food to £2400.

Then there’s travel expenses, about £100 a month for me, so lets £200 for you – anotha £2400.

Then you got utility bills, which here are about £40 a month average for gas, water, electric, phone. Fuck it, lets give you £60 a month – six months we got £360 per utility - £1440 total.

And I’m sure you got credit card bills up to your eye balls. I’ll be generous and say you pay £200 a month on that, over six months, that’s £1200.

Then i'll give you an extra £1000 for stuf i might have missed, cell phone, broadband, whatnot.

    Total - £8400

For what I would say are basic living expenses. Am I missing something here? Do you have kids college fees to pay? Parental nursing home care? Payments on a car?

Cos on that estimate, that leaves you £11,640 spent on maintaining your “lifestyle”. Which is about $19,000

    HOLY SHIT

yes the IRS has laws about this and its not in my favour... and since the company already paid me out the salary and the tax was included in it and it was spent there is nothing that can be done, if however this was spotted in the beginning then it could have been stopped but it was never advised upon... and the IRS still demands their money.

  • janne760

Are there any financial agencies out there that deal with these kind of issues? It just smells hinky that you would be solely responsible for a mistake you didn't make. Maybe there's a loophole that the IRS doesn't want you to know about.

In any event, here's hoping things get better soon.

    • the IRS has laws in place in their favour in this.. either way i gave them their money..e-pill
