This weekend, my whole office is going to spend the weekend on a mountain (big hill with mosquitoes). Rather than just drinking, i'm looking for some good team building games.
Anything suitable for a design studio?
Something that promotes creativity?
Anything that you've done as was actually fun and productive and not just some embarrassing corporate crap. All thoughts and links to any good resources would be really appreciated.

Most team building exercises are embarrassing corporate crap. We played quazar before which was fun, getting to shoot the boss continually. We also went clay pigeon shooting too. That was much more fun than the quazar for the same reaons, but I no longer work at that company.

go country. strip the boss naked, smear him / her in pigs blood and then let them run. give them 1 hour head-start and then go hunting.

I was thinking more something like this.
Keypunch
* Randomly lay out up to 30 numbered markers or spots in a set area. This forms the keypad.
* Create a starting/finish point up to 10 yards beyond the set area- the group must assemble here-hence they do not have clear view of the keypad either before the first attempt or in between attempts.
* Briefing: The group must touch all the numbered spots as fast as they can. The team is given five attempts and must complete all attempts within a 30 minute window, whilst seeking to A/ complete the task and B/ if possible better their time. The group is penalized when a number is touched out of order and if more than one person is inside the boundary of the set area.but this does sound a little bit like we should all be wearing shirts with our ties off. "hello my name is derek" badges etc.

instead of going to a "big hill with mosquitoes", I suggest going to a big hill with mosques. Nothing brings a team together like group prayer.

Here's a game that will be sure to build positive attitudes and increase employee moral:
1) Instead of going to the mountain with your office just give them the weekend to do as they please.
2) Instead of wasting corporate dollars on this trip give your employees bonus' instead.
3) Consider the fact that if you have to do 'team-building' exercises your office culture probably isn't the most nurturing of places to begin with. Team building exercises only address problems after the fact and generally to your employee's displeasure. Seriously reconsider.

This sounds like utter hell. Leave the employees alone.

Nothing builds team building and bonding like a circle jerk.

split group into two equal sizes. Give giant sticks. Play capture the flag. The winning team gets cash bonus, and will, in process generate great team spirit that will last throughout the year. The losing side gets medical expenses paid and their two week notices.
Go.

I remember reading that the kellogg school takes their students to ropes courses. How fucking lame. Teach soon to be corporate drone/sharks how to climb trees.
