I'm trying to create an HTML Email Blast with Dreamweaver.
I have created all the HTML code, and when I test in is a browser it looks perfect.
But now I'm trying to send the HTML Email and I'm not sure how to do it.
Do I need to publish the HTML document and all the images on my server in order for the recipient to see the html email?
I have tried copying and pasting just the HTML code, that that doesn't work.
I just need to know what is the last step in order to send out this email.
Thank you,
Hubb

yes, make sure your images are online and all your src links are the full path to those images.

So I can't just create the HTML Code in Dreamweaver and then send it out with my MAC Mail software?
What about ACT! ?
Does anyone know if that will work?

from what i understand, some people are able to send html formatted emails with some email apps but you can get blacklisted with your mail server provider for doing so

Let's say the dumb-ass client doesn't give a shit about warnings of spam, etc, and still wants an eblast that could be sent through Outlook. The html is done using tables in Dw, and consists of only one image. What would you do? and How?

We send out a lot of email blasts at my job. Sometimes though, they are only to like 20-50 recipients and we just handle it on our own.
Something I have done is view the email in a browser.
Select all from the browser (so your whole design is highlighted, images and all)
Copy and then paste in a new email.
Granted, I have only done this with Outlook and we only do it maybe 2 times a year. But that seems to work for me.
Otherwise, campaign monitor or MailChimp work better.

safari and IE both have send page by email options in the file menu. for firefox, you can get an add-on. but as has been said, you need to host your images somewhere, many email clients will strip attached images.

if this will be a regular thing try Aweber.com....
create your email in HTML using table markup [css can cause problems], make sure you use full <img src paths to where the images are stored on your server, when you are ready paste everything within the body tags into the send program [do not include the <html> <Head> <body> tags], javascript and flash are a no non, and test the email to gmail, aol, yahoo, outlook, etc...
If you use the right provider they will do the hard stuff like figureing out who gets a text version [aol users] and who gets HTML. they will also handle the opt out and suppression list.

you could use Mach Mailer 5 free version as long as it's going out to less than 200 people.
