  I certainly don't use 11-14 gallons of water when dish washing, thats 53 litres, not even close.. max 20 I'd say for a few days pots/pans, and yes dishwash powder is a skin irritant, and contains phosphates (banned from clothes washing machine powder), as they cause an increase in algal blooms.
