I quit my job the other day!
So, I've decided to take some time off (maybe 6 months) what should I do with my time? Should I study and build on my skills....or watch Oprah? Give me some ideas :)
Please take into account that I won't have a lot of funds on hand during this time.

Read books you always wanted. Learn php. Practice your golf swing.

take a 2 month road trip. Take 2 months to get your portfolio/skills you want to learn dialed. Spend the next 2 months searching for your dream gig.

Do some design that your own independent design that you always wanted to do but didn't have a chance to do because of busy working. that is usually the case.

Well what you need to do is get Eddie Van Halen on guitar. Now, I know what you're going to say, that you do not believe we will get Eddie Van Halen until you have a triumphant video. But I say, it's pointless to have a triumphant video before you even have decent instruments. Now, how can you have decent instruments when you don't really even know how to play, you might ask? Well, that is why you NEED Eddie Van Halen. Therefore that is why you need a triumphant video.

You don't need that much funds to travel to some places. In fact it's more expensive to stay in urban places than backpacking somewhere exotic.

If you've been working hard and don't have much or any debt or leases, etc, get to a cheap country like Thailand and hang out for a few months. Relaxing, good food, friendly people. You'll come back with a renewed understanding of what you really want to do.
