Anyone else been experiencing problems. I’m running leopard (10.5.7) and did a software update last night which displayed updates for Safari and Java engine. After the updating had finished, Safari is running like an absolute dog now and is so slow. Even Google takes an eternity to open.
Just wondered if anyone else has had any problems and if so, know of any workarounds.

The top sites feature initially looked really good, like the preview feature in leopard and itunes flip-effect. But the novelty wears off after about 10 minutes.
I'm sure these features drink RAM.

I had the same problem. If you are running Evernote, check for updates. This solved it for me. Something to do with the Web Clipper

there was a major java security hole that was fixed. are you using safari 4? it's super fast for me, way faster than FF or safari 3, a bit crashy though.
