I have three computers that I'd like to run Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium on ... do I have to buy three licenses? and pay $6k?
Is there a way to buy one copy at $2k and pay just a little more for extra licenses?

I believe you are already allowed to install it on at least two machines.

What about a studio? Does a studio have to buy a license for each employee computer? Can I get my employer to buy me a license for my laptop and install on all my computers?
- yes, you can get a bulk version that may be installed on as many computers as you like.NONEIS
- its also that some studios never update because of it.akrokdesign

"A single-user retail license activation supports two computers. For example, you can install the product on a desktop computer at work and on a laptop computer at home. If you want to install the software on a third computer, first deactivate it on one of the other two computers. Choose Help > Deactivate."

back in 2000 you could use the licenses on as many machines you want as long as they aren't running on the same network - i worked at this agency that used to share licenses, if one person was running PS or AI on one machine across the office and someone else needed to use it the 1st person would have to exit PS or AI so that person #2 could use it.
Might still be the same. Just try it, worst thing that can happen is it won't work on the 'extra' machines to you install it on. Best case, it works everywhere as long as other machines aren't running it.
- nope...things have changed in the last nine years...hahahahamonospaced
- haha, yea i figured, but wanted to offer 2 small cents. ;)rippedursite
