i don't know if you have to take it much further than the "buttons" with the bigger holes.

- its a good solution. the snowboarding demo will def get it.baseline_shift

clever.
i really like how the D curves similarly to the end of a board. How would it look if you reversed the B to give it a similar curve. Just a thought.

I thought those 'O's were buttons until I thought about it...
Nice idea.
- those are a little too much buttons on the first sight indeed.stewart

i tried that it looked terrible, i tried it in a few typefaces but none really worked. I think there's probably a typeface out there which will work but i'm yet to find it.

Type feels 'a little dull', but not much, and I don't know what I'd suggest.

yeah i like it so far - keep going with it methinks.
i agree with baselineshift the D is nice, did you customize that a little?
- WhiteFace0
- yeah, this doesnt make it any more readable. have you tried the above 8 holed version, with larger holes?baseline_shift
- yep, tried that, it seems to just empathize the button look.WhiteFace

I know nothing about boarding (but a few things about godding) and my initial reaction to the first round was 'buttons' too. I suppose your target audience would make the association.
With the revised there is something about the diamond shape that bothers me - I think it is that the diamonds tend to hold up the eye when reading the letters whereas the horizontal dots keep it moving through the word.
I like it as a logotype however. Simple, bold and clean.

Maybe try stretching the O's a little so they don't look like buttons so much.
- good thought. I would use a typeface that isnt based on a circle instead of stretching anything.baseline_shift
- Don't go stretching type. That's a huge no-no.monospaced
- good idea, i'll investigate.WhiteFace
