Please, post snippets of reviews from another site. I don't want to go to other sites to read them.

Thanks for the post, never heard of this till now.
Looks sweet. Hopefully it's not a Space Odyssey rip off, which I don't think it is.
Definitely going to see this.

I enjoyed the movie. But it is no 2001. Or Solaris. (The two movies it primarily lifts from.) The 3D type used for the opening credits, with drop shadows into the actual scene, was interesting but ultimately detracted from the film. After seeing that text I was unable to "trust" the other bulky text that appeared in the film. Every time I saw "BAY 3" for example it just felt fake. Also, the "big surprise" of the movie becomes totally painfully obvious way before the rover accident. In Solaris the origin of these "new" characters creates room for introspection and debate. Moon falls flat in this respect. I did really enjoy Sam Rockwell.
Because of the heavy 2001 references I kept expecting Gertie to have evil intent in his motive. I enjoyed that conscious use of 2001-based expectations to divert and surprise. But an AI robot that isn't wirelessly or otherwise connected to all the sensors of the ship? Sure, in the movie 2001 we could buy that there were rooms HAL couldn't listen in to. (Perhaps that level of surveillance seemed a bit superfluous?) But to a 2009 audience that seems silly. It seems on this moon base surveillance would be all inclusive, no corner beyond Gertie's knowledge. Also, how exactly are those bodies shipped up from the lower level?
Ok, I've got criticism for it, but I'm serious when I say I enjoyed it. And wow... I need to try sleeping again. It's late here.
