- Aye, I hate my Lumix too. Bloody crap cameras.Orbit
- why do you hate it?insomnie
- its horrible for shooting at night and concertsAudria
- Appalling picture quality. Useless in all but the brightest light, soft and fuzzy and with a high degree of noise.Orbit
- ive seen the photos from this camera. Unless i am missing something I've heard nothing but praise for it.insomnie
- Nothing but praise? from the marketing? I find that hard to believe.Orbit
- my friend has been shooting with this for a long time.insomnie

Yes, I have one

ya I thought it was an amazing camera at first with its leica lens bullshit..
but after having it for a while..
1. night shots are horrible especially when capturing movement "concerts"
2. always having to adjust focus..which makes you loose your shot.if your investing into a good camera just go with a nice SLR..Id go with the new Rebel T1i..

and how is it doing with the noise when shooting at more than 100 ISO on low light conditions?

i just like the Leica Logo

i think most people will find that digitals produce some noise. however the lense on this camera compensates for a lot. for example some of the stuff you would shoot on g10 with iso at 400 you can get away with for 200 iso on this camera.

I have the LX3 and really like it but I'm no photographer.

want to post some samples?

Some DSLR's have alot less noise at higher ISO's than most point & shoot cameras.... check Consumers Reports, I think they list a Nikon Point & Shoot that they claim has usable results at a higher ISO, but I'm not sure which one...
Some compacts can deliver almost SLR quality in bright light.. I've had great results from a canon Elph... but only in bright light
