I have an existing portfolio website and want to add a blog into the mix. What is the easiest way to add a blog to the existing html design and layout of my website?

I also have an account already with Blogger, anyway to integrate the blog into the already designed site?

I would go with wordpress

yes its easy, just add the word press blog but not at the root:

I just set-up my Wordpress account. Now the part of trying to get it to look like my existing site design.... This is going to be a bitch.

I see most of you recommend WP, interesting... why?
I also want to add a blog to my existing website and have it show as site.com/blog. Something like this... http://dibec.com/blog/
If I follow the steps and tutorials you mentioned, would I still have to create a theme for it? Would it import the WP theme or would I have to create all the CSS to reflect my site?
Thanks for the help!
- Largest community. Easy as fuck for content creation. Highly customisable.pylon

Wordpress has tons of community support being open source and all
lots of modules (plugins ) for integration with the flickr , twiters of the world , hundreds of themes for it and easy to update and maintainif you are good at CSS then making it look like your existing site should be no problem, if you are new to CSS this is a great way to learn all the mark up of css , as this is where the look of the blog is all controlled

You might want to consider http://www.snewscms.com as well...although Wordpress is good too. sNews might be quicker to implement with the current design though.

i could install a neat Textpatter blog for you, you can easily drop your css in it and with a few small mods cindy's butt is yours to slap.
costs you only a modest fee by means of paypal. :)

I would like to learn this since I am a complete noob at css, but if I can't I will definitely let u know janne and we'll talk business.
I don't get it tho, uguys say the domain.com/blog is possible and every time I ask wp, blogger and tumblr they say it can't be done, only blog.domain.com. WTF?
- You've got to have the software installed on YOUR server then you can do whatever you like.pylon

follow me here this could get confusing (not really)
1. download http://wordpress.org/download/
2. install according to instructions
3. during set up, decide location of blog (domain.com/blog)*
4. choose theme
5. edit them to match site (images/css)
6. spam pvn with new blog*if you actually name it blog, i'll kick you
- this will require ftp access to your domainversion3
- depending on your host, subdomains may not be an optionversion3
- subdomains are sub.domain.comversion3

obviously you need to know how to setup a database in your hosting domain also. if you've never done this it sounds daunting but actually takes less than 5 minutes. if you're on MT it's easy as and i can't imagine other hosts make it any more difficult.

Fuck I checked with my hosting and they have no clue about this, or the guy was lost. At least now I have a plan B - janne!
