People expect to scroll to find more content. A lot of big sites no longer try to cram their content in the top of the page to adhere to the ridiculous notion of "the fold".
By all means put key information at the top of the page but don't cram it in.
Look at a site like the BBC, they space their information out well and there's lots of key content lower down the page.

Have you seen v/scroll used well when there is lots of info on the page?

people have moved on, scrolling vertically is now and has been for a long time, acceptable. only designers who are stuck in full flash and 'im a print designer and i dont understand designing for an expandable medium' are still making fixed width/height sites.

Whats the general consensus ?
I remember when people said you should try and keep all the info into the browser screen so lard hands dont have to scroll, but is that old news?
Can I have a vertical scrolling page? Do I have to use anchor links and smooth scroll, not jumping?
What are people thoughts on the matter...
