which one should I buy ?

I've been told A5 was easier to work with ( easier to draw curbs and swirls), but mmh not sure.
did you experienced the 2 sizes?

I heard A6 will have a built-in photon accelerator, you may want to hold out.

ummm they work the same way... I prefer the A4 because it is closer to screen ratio

bigger is better imo. i have a 9x12 intuos3, got that size so i can draw like i would on a standard sheet of paper. but others argue smaller because they have to move their arm too much.
depends what you're doing. i'd guess a photo retoucher doesn't require as much working service as a comic book artist.

I plan to start illustrations on my free time, I'd go for an A4 then.

i use a little 4x6 at work. i really don't illustrate at all so it works great for me, but at home i want A4 for editing photos and retouching
