I have a more serious question than the ones I normally joke about on here but would like to know something and thank you in advance for any feedback.
When you license a stock photo or illustration what rights are you most concerned with getting? Is it exclusivity, a high print run, multi seat usage, web rights etc?
I am building out our extended licensing options and would love to know what to include and what you think is a fair price to ask for the different rights.
Here is what I have so far but it is a work in progress and as users of images and vectors, I would love to know how you think I can improve the rights that I offer.

People only want to pay for the rights they need at the time. So, for each image, you should have a huge rate card covering every possibility. And that should be on the web site, right next to the image, so they can shop around.
Plus, for print runs, you should just charge a simple "mechanical" like they do in music. Like $.04 for each sheet in the print run, or something.
Plus have every image online so it can be searched, gathered, and presented to clients. Plus you should have lots of different exclusive categories: this country, this continent, one month, three months, one year, this medium, this industry, etc., etc.

Basically, anything you can do so we don't have to ever phone the company is what's needed.
Because as soon as we're on the phone with you, we're dead.
- yeah its a big time waster. i want to avoid that at all costs too so i just wanted to make it as simple as possible but cover my bases. still a work in progressjohngrif
