honestly, the best thing to get would probably be a mini van, but I can't bring myself to do it. A small suv would probably do me fine but it's probably slightly larger than my Jetta on the inside so can't justify spending the money, which leaves me with the choices mentioned previously.
As far as SUV's and the environment go, if every person in America drove a Hummer it still wouldn't equal a fraction of the pollution being spewed into the atmosphere by the factories in China. (no scientific truth, just made that up)- That's some good logic - f the environment because of aesthetics and everyone else is doing itformed
- +1 Therein lies the problem. Families got by before SUVs existed. Wake TF up.MrT
- those suv's above get waaaaay better milage and are cleaner than most cars 10 years ago._niko
- and fucking relax, we're talking about suv's that are slightly larger than cars not some fucking hummer_niko
- and families got by in boats that were twice as heavy, twice as large and twice as bad for the environment._niko

I would be wary of new Land Rovers. Wasn't the company sold to Tata India? The same company who just brought our the $2,500 nano car. I believe Jaguar went to them too.

- The 1998 model is the latest model legally drivable in the States. LandRover refused to modify something (i forget what) with the seat-belts because it hindered the function of something else (i forget that too) with the 4WDStylepIus

- LandRover was faced with an ultimatum: Change the shit or stop selling in the US market. They opted with the latter.StylepIus
- do these have the same 'stellar' landrover quality and longevity? seems there's a lot of oldies still around.monNom
