Is now a good time to buy a mac pro... or is there likely to be a new shape / upgrade very soon... or doesn't that really matter as they are upgradeable anyway?

New ones came out late last year so doubt there will be any new ones for a while. Could be wrong though :-/

Don't even ask.
You can be sure that an uograde will come out 2 months after you bought your Mac. Its like that, it always be like that. It happend to me with every Apple product I own.

Question, I have a mac pro at home and today when I started it, nothing happened. Well, the screen remained black and the little LED in the front keeps blinking every second. Does anyone what this might be? And how to fix this?
- count the number of blinks. the manual tells you what they meanacescence

I could be way off OSFA but this happened to me a couple times and it was in sleep mode. Hold the power button down for a few seconds...
