hey all. i need to show a client an example of a spot uv buscard, or letterhead.
i am proposing they print a plain white card and jst the uv for the logo on the front. if anyone has any images of this it would be great to see them.
thx.

looks great doing that, the problem is finding a photo that will display that well enough. contact a printer and get a sample.

that Wired cover a while back had it on black, looked pretty cool. i think you get best results on silk stock. you should get samples, it's not something that will come across in photo

a few architectural mags like Inside and PolOxygen have been using them more on the covers lately. maybe duck down to borders / eqivilent

- Saw this the other day - Super sexy. Although i'm not sure if that would be a UV or a varnish...d_rek
- i reckon it's a clear foilforcetwelve
- My experience a spot UV tends to be lower impact but is really dependant on the stockd_rek

Talk to printers as airey and RoyBoy have said, but also talk to the paper merchants... they often have some great samples for you.

But like airey said, doesn't always translate well in pics.

Whirlwinds stock guide shows samples of all their available stocks and finishes.
Even if you don't use them to print your stuff, at least you'll have the samples at the healm.
