The answer you're looking for is a resounding "yes."
Just curious, did you find them or did they find you?

if you need advice on this then you're dull. my advice is not to let them know how soft in the head you are.

Sounds like an adventure. I don't see any negatives to meeting up with them for the interview and seeing if it's a good fit.

^ Yeah pay very careful attention to their personalities, and if they show you any fine print make sure to digest it thoroughly. You're obviously impressed with their work, but they could be king a-holes for all you know.

SF is probably a lot more expensive than Glasgow, I'd imagine. I'm not an expert here, but I'd imagine as a design director, you could reasonably ask for $100,000.
- cost of living out here is way below that of London, and probably on a par with Glasgow.skt
- aye i thought that for chap talk - 85k wuld be ok tbfmistermik

Be prepared to spend 3-5 years building credit and being considered a nobody. Credit is used for EVERYTHING now. Getting an apartment? Credit check. Applying for a job? Credit check. Connecting utilities at your apartment? Credit check. And make sure you make enough money to afford decent healthcare/dental.
My overall opinion so far is that quality of life is actually higher in the UK than it is here. Americans work too hard and don't take enough time off. 10 days/year, 40hr week is standard (I miss the 37.5hr week, 28 days holiday of the UK).
- When you consider hidden expenses in everything in the USA, it's generally more expensive than the UK average.5timuli

But, erm, I'd go for it. It's worth it for the experience and I'm sure for some it'll be easier than for others. I'm still happy I came here, but if things don't improve in a few years I'll have to seriously consider my options.
