So... Mike's in Mexico, Walter remembers about the cameras. Next scene they're racing towards each other in 2 new cars in God-knows-fucking-where....you can't explain that.

That's the Cadillac Gus/Mike/Jesse stole from the Cartels house. Mike got shot, Gus posioned himself/Don Eladio. Mike was just reacting and off to kill Walt. Jesse talked him out of it.

I bet it will move slowly, but I like that they're building an investigation that might get so close to Walt, but possibly never catch him. Makes me think of a couple seasons of Dexter where he was almost caught, but no dice.

Well we know that the flash forward is an indicator that the present tense Walt isn't caught or killed. I hope they do some timeline tinkering like with Lost – really liked the parallell narratives there.
We were talking at work today and said that the first episode was a bit like a 'lets get back on the same page' for everyone with a quasi-scientific caper that's really unrealistic at first buit then totally doable (the whole premise of the show basically) – then the following ones will be a bit more character development and such.
Can't wait for next week – best show of its type for a while.
