i'm ready to invest in a DSLR. i have tone of nikon lenses that i inherited from my dad. I do motion and interested in shooting some video as well. Is this a good choice or anyone know better option in the similar price category? H E L P

No doubt stay with Nikon and make use of a "tone of nikon lenses" you inherited. The D90 is a nice camera, I wouldn't steer you away. Make sure the lenses actually work though. Peace.
- Yep, not all old lenses can utilise TTL, focus etc.imadesigner

I've had mine for 4 months now. I love the stills that it takes. The video works but it is definitely not quality. A lot of room still to grow on their end when it comes to video. But this is by far the best camera I have owned for ease of use.
Wouldn't mind a built in time lapse feature though :(
All in all, great camera.

Leave the video to a video camera.

well if you already have a bunch of lenses then that is the half of it... i would say go for it... nikon is great. i have always used canon but used nikons and never had a problem.

nikon lenses have a problem of banding in fluro lights for video recording.
