I've looked around, but I can't find the answer I'm looking for.
Is there a way to fill a cell within a table with a gradient? I'm looking to ONLY contain the gradient in a specific cell. It seems like it should do this, but when I specify a blend in the cell - it applies to the entire table.
Thanks in advance.

You looked around? I didn't even know how to do this but found out by using the built in help documentation. It took all of 30 seconds.
Just search for "cell gradient" in the help box.

nothing comes up when searching for "cell gradients" btw.
Just now I have indesign opened, did a 2 second test and all I did was select the cell I wanted and dragged a colour to the gradient palette.
the cell got filled with the gradient.
- Then you searched incorrectly -- or you're using an older version on InDesign... I tried on both CS3 & 4 ... and it worked.partridge

thanks, douche. mine's still applying to the entire table though.
go back to your hole.- lol. Don't get mad at me bc you're too lazy to figure out something so simple. Hint: use the type tool and select a cell. It has to turn black.partridge
- maybe it doesn't like you personally?airey
- the cell has to turn black ... then you must proceed to the gradient panel.partridge
- that's more likely.Gucci
- Awesome. Can you hit me up with the help documentation for selecting a cell with the type tool?Gucci
- You're kidding... right?partridge
- lol. yes.Gucci

If it still isn't working ... and you're on a mac, run disk utilities. If that doesn't work. Backup your InDesign prefs ... then flush them. If that doesn't work, run Applejack. If that doesn't work, you're screwed.

So... did it work?
