so i believe the question is "how do i rgb color pick to pantone?" from what I know it can not be done. all software created to do so has been decommissioned as it infringes on pantone owned and managed colors.

open the image in photoshop. use the dropper. select the color. click on the swatch. click color libraries in the pop-up. select the appropriate pantone book from the drop down.
i'd double check the rgb values from the pantone bridge book for the selected color if you have that handy as well just to verify.
- First of all, RGB and CMYK values don't have any usage without providing the name of the ICC profile!sted

w/o calibrated hardware (like that monkey :) it can't be done perfectly.
BUT! photoshop can also only choose the closest pantone color for you.

1) Start Photoshop.
2) Open a new document in the RGB color space. IMPORTANT: You *must* specify a working space for the document. Let's say that you are specifying sRGB as your working space.
3) Once the sRGB blank document is open (its canvas size and resolution are irrelevant to this exercise), click on the foreground color patch in the tool palette (or panel). That brings up the Color Picker window. Enter your desired RGB values.
4) Now click on the "Color Libraries" button. That brings up a "Color Libraries" window. From the "Book:" pulldown menu choose your preferred color library (say, Pantone Solid Coated), and you will see that the "Color Libraries" window selects PANTONE code as the color closest to the one you specified previously in the Color Picker window.
You can repeat this procedure for all your other RGB values.
But remember this one thing: first you *must* specify which RGB working space/profile you are using in your open document, or your PANTONE color choices may turn out incorrect.
