  4 Aces Club, Dalston... I started here in 1989. The building was knocked down last year... quite sad really considering the history. So much so a lovely film has been made about it.

  In Australia at least (I can't speak for the rest of the world), the rave scene has been destroyed by the authorities.

  I remember the good old monster rave days, 5 arenas, thousands upon thousands of people, not even the slightest hint of violence, no cops, and music 'til after the sun came up.

  These days it's 2 arenas if you're lucky, shite techno (break, trance, DnB, whatever), and star force police officers with sniffer dogs. I wouldn't fucking go now if you paid me.
