Hello all.
I just recently updated my website with a complete re-design. Wondering if I could get some feedback. I am new to web-design and taught myself from books and online tutorials.
I am still adding work but wanted to make sure I was going in the right direction.

I designed that shirt for a national AIGA competition. Placed with Honorable Mention.
- and proud of it too?typist
- very proud of it. I did it because it was something i am passionate about. Never did it to win anything.furstdsgn
- youre an idiot typist if you don't understand the shirt. and have the mind of a nine year old.iCanHazQBN

IMHO
Lose the photos & other section. Lose the header with the Blue type that say "hire me". Lose all the social networking links.
- version30
if not center, at lest add a margin to the left to match the one on the top

I agree with sikma, but you can keep "photos" and "other" if you reorganize and rename your categories as so:
identity | print | packaging | personal | photography

i´d ditch the header, it´s too big and its content is completely redundant. i´m missing additional info about the projects, and i couldn´t find your cv.
- My CV is on it's way. Just launched the site a few days ago and then my iMac died.furstdsgn

A lot is on its way... I did just launch the new version to get feedback and I am very new to website design so it will probably take a while to adjust some things.
- version30
why do you want hired but are unwilling to take on new projects?
- furstdsgn0
@version3 - I am currently working on 4 projects and cannot take anymore at the time.
- Also, what's the comment about the vneck?furstdsgn
- don't put that on your websitemonospaced

All about low v necks

Why is everything a picture? Every bit of text has been made into a graphic. Why?
- version30
ok, my question was this... as i am freelance, if i were so busy i wanted no more projects, i wouldn't be looking for a job. but as i am busy, i have a schedule so projects get meetings and outlined for production at a later date
and the vneck thing was a joke, that mono obviously got ;)
- If it was a gay joke it's not funny. Keep it to yourself.furstdsgn
- no, but i assume you to enjoy the vneck variety more and more nowversion3
- keep it to yourselfmonospaced

why are the links to the contact/bio page not part of the mainnav? only complicates things, having 2 kinds of nav on a simple site like a folio. if you have to include the bottom thing, why not keep it direct links (mailto, download) there?

First reaction is "Augh!" to the 'Hire Me' header. I'm really, really sorry, but one of my friends is going that route too. If you want someone to hire you, you gotta display it in another way. But other than that, I think it's nice that you have a lot of executed (3D) work which is something I need to work at. I agree with the comments above...bring in some live text into the site. It'll be easier for the search engine to find you too.
- Thanks for the feedback. Live text is on its way. It's been easier to do everything in Photoshop for now since I do not know much HTML.furstdsgn

-1 for the skype and twitter shit links.
-1 for the lack of structure.- What "structure" would make it better or improve it.furstdsgn
- a grid. even space in between elements. The menu looks like it's just floating. it's working within a grid with the content.VectorMasked
- at the bottom the "contact me", "hiring?" and "current projects" stuff looks messy, spaces are not even. "hiring?".VectorMasked

i'd kill a bit of the interface to the point of minimizing the noise around your work...
... you work should stand out first and foremost - but unfortunately it's secondary to loud pointless headers and what i like to call 'marketing vomit' such as all the 'contact' me type, social network junk... and even selling/pushing a political point of view...
... you have some good work - don't kill it w/uselessness... save the 'point of view' stuff for your blog... :)
