  I'm pretty sure this was just picked up by the board, she was "lip syncing," but to make it more realistic, performers actually "sing" into the mic. I don think its what the Good Morning America, or the people on the street heard.

  my friend is a engineer for that genre of music. They use that shit (autotune - the Cher method) on 100% of the material. He has worked with some of the bigger names and says it's a complete joke. One guy got fired after it went out at a live gig.

  na, it's a fake... i just watched a really shit video by the creator explaining it. he just extracted the vocal and ran it though auto-tune with the wrong scale.
