Just saw Disney Nature's Earth. Its the same footage used in the Discovery Channel's Planet Earth series but I'd estimate there to be about 40% new footage not used in the show.
If you're a fan of the show I found Sigourney Weaver's cold, efficient narration better to the warm, dramatic narration of James Earl Jones but it wasn't bad by any means. Some of the shots were stunning and even better on the big screen.
For those with kids, my child development major girlfriend said it was too scary for anyone younger than 8 due to the hunter/prey scenes but they were pretty much the same ones from the show so if you've seen that you've seen as bad as it can get.
Overall it was worth the ticket and enjoyable.

Went and saw this last week, and to summarise briefly, The Boat That Rocked Did Not Rock. At All.
When a movie is taking you back to a time and a place, they usually spend the first 15 minutes setting the scene, and trying to send you back to that particular time and place, and some movies do it very very well. In the case of this movie, I just wasn't feeling it, and continued to not 'feel it' for the remainder of the film. Even with the likes of Bill Nighy and Phillip Seymour Hoffman in the thing.
I walked in there hoping for maybe an 8-9/10, but I'd probably only give it a 5... 6 tops.
Sadly, not recommended.

Saw Transformers 2 last night:
Now I wasn't expecting much from this film and boy, did it deliver none of my expectations. Lots of shonky cgi, a script that consisted in the main of lots of people shouting 'go go go go!' and the occasional shot of Megan Fox's clevage. If you want to feel vaguely sea sick whilst watching something braindead then I cannot recommend this film enough.
Watch it if you like:

Gran Torino:
finally saw it last night. I wasn't sure about the acting at first, but what a great storyline. in your face racist remarks really stir up some feelings. loved the way he threw in those random funny scenes too. excellent film.- Thought it was a good movie but not great. He plays his part great though.fyoucher1
- i thought it was a bit funny.akrokdesign
- I laughed through a lot of it. Not because I'm racist, but because the acting was so bad. also, clint seems like he's playing himself.brains
- playing himself.brains
- This is one of the worst films Ive ever seen. Acting bad, story, cliched, acting so wooden you could carve it.shitehawke

Crossing Over.
I'm real surprised this movie isn't getting more hype. It's basically the same dillio as the movie Crash but about immigration (mainly) and sterotypes (and a better movie IMO). All of the situations are related and come together at the end in a real fucked up way. I thought it was a real messed up movie but that's what made it great. One of Harrison Ford's best movies in years. If you liked Crash, you'll really like this movie.

Yeah, saw Angles and Demons, I must say I was a bit disappointed.
i guess it's a bit hard to top the davinci code and it's conspiracy theory.

I also saw Sacred Planet by Disney. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised, some beautiful places on earth shot for IMAX.

Some might disagree, but I just saw "Seven Pounds" with Will Smith. This is a screenwriting debut for Grant Nieporte.
I honestly didn't know what on earth this film was about for a long while! I felt it was one of the most original screenplays so far. one that tugs at the heart.- Yeh, thought this was a pretty good movie too...fyoucher1
- it's pretty good. i liked it.akrokdesign

just saw this too... incredible.
"Habana: El nuevo arte de hacer ruinas"
translated to: Habana: the new art of making ruins.
50 years of dictatorship, has left the city in ruins... visually and intellectually beautiful.

Generally good but the first part is a bit long and repetetive. You have to be patient for an hour when the second part takes off. It makes you want to go visit Portugal.
