Thinking about buying a .Mac account finally.
I got my trial account setup and am uploading the stuff I want to be able to access remotely.
But...the upload rate is incredibly slow. Is this because it's a trial account, or is this normal even for paid accounts?

i've heard using a third-party webdav client to connect is much faster, like transmit or anyclient

I was reading that too, but a lot of feedback I read also said otherwise.
Anyone used Jungledisk?

JD isn't for .mac, in case you think so. it's for amazon s3, and it's a lot faster. depending on how much data you're going to upload/download you may like https://www.getdropbox.com/refer… (you get extra space if you register over this link)

I've just spent ages looking at online storage etc and can't find any that do everything. mobile me looks good, good for photosharing. The others are just more of the same, storage and archiving. Humyo is coming for mac and looks promising. Carbonite seemed ok. backblaze was simple.
- dropbox can photoshare, you can have a public galleryjimbojones
