Is there a really simple CMS (as easy to use as wordpress) for Designers to create Content Managed sites and eCommerce ones?

indexhibit i think is a really straightforward cms though it doesn't do ecommerce. people are starting to do more and more 'non-indexhibit' sites with it too, with a lot more options opening up in terms of navigation. so its not just all left hand sites anymore. theres a new release coming out soon which is worth looking out for.

For simplicity, no installation, and up-and-running in about 15 min, try CushyCMS: http://www.cushycms.com
You add a class to areas of your page you want editable, it's quite simple. For the content author/client standpoint, it's as simple to use a basic word processor.

Have you got an example of a site that you have created with CushyCMS?

"why not just use worpress? "
>> good question. Would a client mind though if there whole site was created in Wordpress do you think?? Also, what about ecommerce?
- There's a few e-commerce plugins for Wordpress. Foxycart should also integrate with WPNathan_Adams

anyone used Good Barry?

yeah, i haven't found any commerce solution i'm totally happy with. was going to try wordpress/zen cart integration to see how that went. for just content management i've tried a lot of things, joomla, textpattern, modx, etc.. they're similar and similarly capable in many ways, but i settled on doing things mostly in wp because it's the most documented and just easiest for me to extend i guess.
