If I hear this phrase once more I think my head's going to pop!!! The more I hear it, the more I think that it's some sick joke that all clients are in on but never let the joke end.
How does everyone else persuade their clients without any design sense to leave the logo sizing to the professionals?

just make the logo big enough
(never heard that phrase from a client)

do the work the client asks for and stop being the client and get your cash and move on from them...

With every project start with a ridiculously huge logo, so they then say "can you make the logo smaller".
- dirtydesign0
tell them the logo can only be that big.

I always make the logo micoscopic or nonexistent, so by the time they ask me to make it bigger it looks how I want it

the best solution i have found is to make a mock up with the logo actually a bit smaller. then show them the two side by side. They'll choose the one with the larger logo (the original) and you both feel like you win.

You did'nt mention what application this is for? Web, Print, what?

I like the logo bigger.

The 'bigger' request was for print. Strangely they requested for the logo on the website layout to be anchored 'bottom right'. Erm, yeah, great visibility there!

they're viewing the project through marketers eyes, it's not their fault.
If they were running the show, the project would be littered with giant "new" images, text the size of your hand and their products ALL BIG- i love when they ask for "Everything to be bigger". There's only so much room in this half page 'zine ad, ffs.baseline_shift

Here's a tip
(shows tip of penis to monitor)
Ok, now that that is over. Here's another tip. Sometimes when I'm doing a comp I'll set the logo at the size I want, duplicate it then shrink the other logo to 80% of it's size. That way when the client says "Make my logo bigger and stop sending me pictures of your penis on various things" I just revert to the original logo that's the size I always wanted.Everybody wins!
Hey who's knocking at my door? The police!??!? Oh God here tehy come remember me..... REMEMBER M.E..E..DFLAFDS.FA. DSFJDSKJF .
