Must have one... Grrrr, just bought another intuos3...

mee too! the near zero starting pressure looks really promising.

to be honest i don't need anymore sensitivity than my intuos3 provides.
i like the new sizing though. and flip for lefties is neat.

I am a no mouse wacom using fool, and agree 1024 pressure is quite swell, apparently this things doubles that now to 2048 (it might even here you whisper now it is so sensitive). Can't tell if it is still glossy (one of my few complaints due to fingerprints, etc), but like the new black look and led buttons. Simplifying the sizes is nice as well. Sweet, love to know if anyone has tried that is a fan of the intuos3 for comparisons.

i want this right now...

I bet the mouse is still as shite, looks good though.

really surprised they didn't figure out wireless for intuos4... that'd be #1 on my wishlist.

Oh good. I was thinking about upgrading my crappy bluetooth graphire i have at home. I guess the medium size would work nicely for me.

dude I went the cheap route and bought the VISTA tablet 9x12 and it was worth the money, the pressure is good on the pen, there are a few little quarks but by no means would they cause me to huck this thing off of the fourth floor.
- uberdesigner0
how much do they cost?
- mpark0
369 + tax + shipping = 420
- inkpink0
and ye'ole tablet size debate starts... now!

large one for me.
can't believe they called it a touch ring.
- uberdesigner0
large wacoms are too big. they take over the keyboard.

Don't like the look of it. And I'm not just saying this because I just bought an intuos 3.

Don't like the look of it. And I'm not just saying this because I just bought an intuos 3 special edition I had the fly in from abroad. Because I wanted a black tablet instead of my grey.

Booyah. Got my Intuos4 (medium) and been working with it for about a week on a 24" new gen imac with CS4. Here is my short list of pros and cons thus far:
PROS:
1. much sleeker industrial design (streamlined, clean and more comfortable not too mention looks good in all black and next to newer looking macs if you into that thing)
2. pen and entire setup very responsive (pen seems lighter as well and apparently uses less power)
3. haven't tried a ton, but digging new pen tips with textured surfaces for more realistic use
4. "touch ring" thing is much easier to use than old scroll option (wish I could adjust volume and scratch like a dj in itunes though).CONS:
1. It's black and glossy AND if you're OCD like me, it shows everything much more apparent (dust, smudges, etc)... Wish it came in color options like gunmetal grey.
2. Still don't use short cut keys (or the mouse) as they look nice with the new LCD displays but still hard to press and not that convenient/useful IMHO
3. Did I mention it is black and show dust and scratches?Overall, another step in the right direction, but wish the LCD buttons and shortcuts were easier to use and could be programmed to whatever you like (say the touch ring could be programmed to adjust the volume in itunes, or the side buttons could program to common shortcuts like "save" or cut and paste, yadda yadda... Can't say other than the looks and the interface of the newer version it is THAT much different than v3, but that is a good thing as I love the quality and responsiveness of wacom's products (sans included mouse). Carry on...
- I have read that all the buttons are programmable according to the application you are using.brothernoah
