Finally relaunching my portfolio site. If you see any glaring defects (besides the obvious lack of talent) please let me know. Better I catch it now than get it pointed out to me by a potential client.

nice job for the most part.
clicking on a menu item creates a long, unattractive box in FireFox. Might want to do the "onfocus > blur" thing.

i think you need to start with attitude adjustment (obvious lack of talent?) but the site is kind of functionally ok, but does not really present you that well. The mirrored nav is terrible - its very hard to see what you are looking at, and just looks bad. and why have all these categories that just repeat what you see on the home page? Once you do that it's like - ok - this person has a limited amount of work and are repackaging it up to look like more. I mean, I saw the iggy pop jesus on the front page and here he is again under 'concept'.
if you have just that much work, show just that. people are not stupid.

I noticed that rather than loading images as it gets them, my browser waits till it has all the images and then displays slows down page load (7-8 seconds).
I've never seen a site do this before. Any ideas of causes or solutions?

No issues here with loading time.
What bugs me is that bad trend of adding so much empty space above the entire site. That's not cool. It's impractical.
Why do I have to scroll every single time to see every page and every piece in the portfolio. Awful way to chop every image in the portfolio and leave the info out of the visible content area.

Some nice work in there.
The site design feels less impressive than the work however. The nav is the weakest part - doesn't look great and hard to click on with all those backslashes. Logo is OK but maybe lose the bevel. The fact that some of the screenshots appears in different sizes looks a little sloppy. Overall the layout feels too narrow with too much space at the top.

nice work. perhaps you should have another tab that says "all" or something... along with this, it'd be nice if the section that you're in stayed selected (i.e. advertising turns white while i'm in advertising, etc.)

I like it. Only thing I don't like is the "about" section. I think you could eliminate the first two paragraphs. But that's just my opinion.
