I have a new project that involves designing the packaging for a specific project (turbo kit for an s2000). Anybody recommend any reputable companies that can help give me some info.
Things like printing on the boxes, Styrofoam molds to hold specific items, etc. Just want to know prices, options and all things involved in the process.

find a printer and call them, I'm sure they would know packaging printers. there's also a great book called, "Materials, Process, Print." that would also be helpful to you. Explains flexo/styrofoam/other packing materials.

Book looks pretty awesome. I know the client doesn't have all the money in the world but I'd love to find a way to make the packaging something more than what the auto aftermarket is used to.

^well, be careful. it is the auto-market, they don't need fancy graphics. you could still do some nice things with 1 color flexo.

I'd agree, but that's like saying people who are buying computer don't need well designed packages. But yea, I'll definitely have to find a balance between cost and quality.
