hey all,
so, im doing some work for print and having some problems with my colors. I am doing work with my tablet that looks like a painting. ( lots of color mixing ) when i paint in cmyk my colors on the monitor look fairly bleak and i get unexpected results when i print. I am working with windows and was wondering if someone could give me some advice. maybe i need to calibrate my monitor somehow, or maybe buy color swatches?
much thanks,
cp

How are you printing it?

unless youre printing offset I think you'll get better results if you do it up as RGB... Im no expert tho.

This is what you need, click on the "look inside" for page 17.
You can use a guide pages like that to calibrate your monitor, and see if your printer is close enough, or adjust the changes. It's very easy to use.

When you use words like "Painting with my PC" I have to wonder your skill level of what it is that you are doing.
