Has anybody who uses Elephant tried to make a claim?
Generally when its mad cheap its because they have very good cop-out legal people to make sure they don't ever pay up.
- I did read lots of review and mostly seemed OK for claims.. did read one where the car was stolen and they were iffylowimpakt

I've been using Quidco for about 6 months now. It works.
I was unsure at first, it sounds too good to be true, but I've been receiving money every months for about 4 months now. You give them your bank details and pay directly in. They take the first £5 you earn every year, and the rest is yours.
Some great offers on there, some small percentages too – but if you shop online frequently you can't go wrong – it is just money back for stuff you were going to buy anyway.

theres lots of daft factors that'll affect your quote
when i stayed in north fife i used to pay more than people a few miles down the road cos our postcode came under dundee's postcodes.interestingly - when iwas looking at quotes a month or two ago, when you were clicking options like "tinted windows" thats not a feature thats going to bump up insurance, its seen as a security feature so may take your quote down.

Plus they were the cheapest

I guess it all depends where you live, elephant was the cheapest by far.
So many determining factors... Elephant, shelias Wheels, etc etc, they are all cheap.

im with elephant,
good and cheap. foreign call centers though.
and over the past few weeks ive been phoning to tell them ive made slight changes and each time the bastards charge me £14 to send out a new certificate.
another £14 today as i'll be phoning and telling them ive put on aftermarket exhaust and suspension.go to one of the comparing sites.
somew of the quotes i got on there were a good bit cheaper than elephantkezza, thats what i am about a year.
one of the ones on compare site was like 365- Really?! True about the forin call centres, but I never had to pay for certificate reissues. That's a bit shitty.Nairn

I used Elephant back when I had a car, annoyingly - only because their bloody ads were foremost in mind when I scooted around for quotes. Didn't have any problems - I think they're just a search broker for other, 'real' insurance brands.
- Oh, and if we're getting our cocks out - mine was a shitty diesel Citroen Xantia.Nairn

Raniator - have you used quidco? it says 75 quid cash back on co-operative insurance...

08 SLK 280 (group 17) for £465 insured through Virgin, who were 3x cheaper than Direct Line, Tesco (who are the same insurance underwriters/company.
How's that work?

More than are really cheap but don't insure past group 12HomeCreative - Virgin hairdresser car discount scheme.Nightshade
