In Illustrator is there a shortcut for being able to draw a line with the pen tool and then to draw another line without having to select the pointer symbol > click page > reselect pen tool > resume drawing next line?
Thanks in advance.

Press V to select the pointer symbol. Click page. Press P to reselect the Pen tool. It's not really much of a shortcut, but it has become routine for me at least.
If someone else has a method figured out that beats this, let us know.

with the pen tool selected, click CTRL (pc) then click on the page.

- There is no "Apple" key anymore. It is now called "command." Just noticed; weird.monospaced

Building upon falcadia's tip above, the concluded shortcut is:
Press P
That's it.
- or just command/ctrlmonospaced
- Nice! that does work. That should speed things up.falcadia

I always hit 'enter' on the number keypad, works for 'getting out' of lots of photoshop shit too (changing leading / kerning / font size stuff, etc)
